Irony: The first place the three of us stayed in Tucson (on vacation from Pittsburgh in 1998) is the hotel right across the street from Tucson Medical Center. That is where Anne ended up driving / visiting me countless times since we've moved here, and is featured repeatedly in Losing. (Whenever we go somewhere, Anne has to know where the nearest hospital is. Be warned if we come to visit!)
